Greece went undefeated against 9th ranked China and 10th placed Puerto Rico in the last 2 days. This may not seem impressive based on rankings but, consider that Greece lost 2 of their best players due to a 2 game suspension after an on the court brawl with Serbia during exhibition play. Also consider that both suspended players will back to face an 18th placed Turkey Team on Tuesday. Keep in mind that in 2006, Greece beat an NBA filled Team USA roster in the semi-finals for the Silver medal, sending the US home with the Bronze. Among the 7 undefeated teams on day 2, Greece has scored the most points against their opponents, 172, second only to USA's 205.
*Team Canada lost their second game in a row, this time to Lithuania. Next up, France.
